Description
Candidate will be responsible for analysis of preclinical animal studies using state of the art computational image analysis. Responsibilities will include image analysis of preclinical animal studies, as well as the development and improvement of histological endpoints. The candidate will also be involved in the set-up of in vitro efficacy assays in cell culture. The successful candidate will be responsible for data collection and analysis, and must maintain a written record of studies in the form of lab notebooks and technical reports.
Requirements
Candidate must have at least 3 years relevant research experience in histological analysis, preferentially relating to rodent brain pathology. Experience in computational image analysis, hands-on experience with different cell culture techniques and theoretical knowledge about neurodegenerative disorders are an advantage. It is essential that candidate be self-motivated, productive, and possesses good communication and scientific problem solving skills. Qualified candidates must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team and be fluent in English.
Apprenticeship in Biology or BS/MS in Neuroscience, Cell Biology or a related discipline
