Degree and area of specialization:

Ph.D. in a related field and evidence of scholarly excellence and teaching ability are required.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Candidates will be expected to conduct research, develop and teach courses, and supervise graduate students in the critical analysis of digital and new media. Those with a demonstrated ability to combine methodological approaches are especially encouraged to apply. Those candidates for tenured appointments must show proven record of excellence in scholarly research and teaching.

Principal duties:

The successful candidate will actively participate and teach half of her/his courses in a new interdisciplinary program that seeks to enhance students’ media, visual, technology, and information literacies. Teaching must be at the undergraduate and graduate level.
Scholarly research and professional service as appropriate.
