A dynamic group of talented male students are making their Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut this month. All The King’s Men were only established in September last year by freshers at King’s College London who wanted to have fun with music. The group, an all male acappella singing society, whose musical range stretches from the Bee Gees to the Black Eyed Peas, has recently released their debut eponymous album.

The collaboration of 14 students, who are studying a range of subjects, perform their versions of infectious popular tunes, with fun choreography and a tight rhythm section. They have proved incredibly popular and have already performed at high profile events and venues including the BT Tower and one of London’s biggest clubs, SEOne, in addition to University of London events and private functions.

Henry Southern, a Music student, says, ‘My involvement with All The King’s Men has been one of the highlights of university. It has allowed me to develop my passion and enjoyment of music. I’ve also learnt a wide range of skills as music director and manager of the group. We’re thoroughly looking forward to performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for the first time.’

Don Samkange, adds, ‘I think it’s cool how we’re a bunch of normal students from different backgrounds who just love to sing and have fun. I can’t wait to perform at the Fringe Festival and show the audiences what we can do. This is pretty much the highlight of our year, we’ve all worked so hard to get there.’

The group includes first year students Folarin Akinmade (Law), Hugh Benson (Music), Chris Jamieson (Social Science), Alex Jones (History), Tomos Lavery (Dentistry), Alex Mitchell (Hispanics), Noah Mosley (Music), Charlie Ransley (Music), John Roberts (Geography), Don Samkange (Hispanics), Henry Southern (Music), Bernie Wong (French & Spanish), second year student Justin Chow (Law) and third-year study abroad student Sam Waterbury (Music & English Literature) from the United States.
