Series sheds light on Universe’s darkest secrets

Dr Paul Francis. Photo by Belinda Pratten.
Some of the Universe’s biggest mysteries will be explored in a new Internet series presented by Paul Francis of the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics.
The series, The Greatest Unsolved Mysteries of the Universe, will look at some major cosmic conundrums, including where the Earth came from, and what the ultimate fate of the Universe might be. The first episode will be available online on Thursday 12 January.
Each episode will explore a mystery in-depth, in an accessible and light-hearted way. Francis will also be delving into some of the comments left on his previous video to answer some viewers’ mysteries.
The series builds on his video from 2010, The Greatest Unsolved Mysteries of the Universe. That video is the most popular on ANU Channel on YouTube and has been viewed more than 250,000 times.
